Enamel Edition
$2,500
Japanese artisan microbrand by Hajime Asaoka. Hand-applied lacquer dials in deep single-tone colors (navy, forest green, oxblood) with grand-feu enamel-like depth. Tiny production via quarterly lottery — the Tokyo equivalent of anOrdain for artisan dial lovers.
About Kurono Tokyo
Kurono is the accessible line of Hajime Asaoka — one of perhaps five truly independent master watchmakers in Japan, whose own creations sell for six figures. Kurono distills his design language (mirror-polished cases, deeply domed dials, perfect mid-century proportions) into watches under $4,000, assembled in Tokyo in small numbered batches. Owning one is the closest most of us will get to independent Japanese haute horlogerie.
Every Kurono drop is a 30-minute lottery-style frenzy, and each series is named and themed like an art edition — because that is what they are.
