About Zeno-Watch Basel

Basel, Switzerland · est. 1868

The original workshop was founded in 1868 by Jules Godat-Bouvier in La Chaux-de-Fonds, and the ZENO name was registered in 1922, taken from the Greek philosopher Zeno of Citium. In 1965 Felix W. Huber, known as 'Mr. Zeno,' took over and moved the company to Basel, marrying traditional Swiss movements (largely ETA and Valjoux calibers) with bold, contemporary cases. The brand made its name with vintage compressor divers, the 1970s 'Spaceman,' and especially its oversized aviator watches, including 47.5mm pilots unveiled in 1999. Still run by the Huber family, Zeno remains one of the few genuinely independent Swiss manufacturers offering Swiss mechanical watches at entry-level prices.
