About Sherpa Watches

Germany · est. 2021

Founded by mechanical engineer Martin Klocke and based in Munich, Sherpa Watches set out to resurrect the genuine compressor dive watch, a design pioneered by Ervin Piquerez SA (EPSA) and made famous by Enicar's Sherpa line. Rather than merely imitating the vintage aesthetic, the brand re-engineered the actual EPSA-STOP bayonet case and a proprietary MONOFLEX compressor crown that seals tighter as water pressure rises, achieving 200m ISO 6425 certification. Each piece is hand-assembled in Germany and Switzerland around the Mantramatic MM01 movement (a Top-grade Sellita SW200-1), and the watches carry a whimsical 'spiritual complication' of Tibetan Buddhist prayer wheels said to turn millions of mantras a year.
