About Mirco Watch
mirco is a Japanese watchmaker built on a counterfactual: had the 1969 quartz crisis never redirected the industry, how would the Japanese mechanical watch have evolved? Its name answers by fusing mirai (未来, future) and kako (過去, past), and its two references argue the case in steel — the TYPE-02, a 42 mm automatic chronograph with tachymeter and date on vintage-oiled leather, and the TYPE-03, a 42 mm automatic under a rotating bezel, good to 200 m, offered in five colourways named for traditional Japanese colours. Both wear SUS316L cases under sapphire and are made in Japan. The brand debuted at Baselworld 2019, drew two HODINKEE write-ups that year, and sold out its first production run within weeks.
