About Lebois & Co
Lebois & Co was established in 1934 by Raymond Dodane, a third-generation watchmaker from the famed Dodane family, with the goal of making aesthetically refined Swiss timepieces at accessible prices. Its chronographs earned a place in history when, in 1940, Caproni gifted them to Swedish Air Force pilots. The original firm wound down around 1972 during the Quartz Crisis. In 2014, Dutch enthusiasts Tom and Eveline van Wijlick discovered a vintage Lebois & Co chronograph at Christie's and, with the Dodane family's blessing, resurrected the brand exactly eighty years after its founding. The revived label made waves as the first luxury Swiss Made mechanical watch successfully funded on Kickstarter, and continues a community-driven model where collectors help shape new designs. Its modern catalogue centers on the 39mm Heritage Chronograph line using the hand-wound, column-wheel LC-450 movement, alongside the automatic Venturist and limited Atelier pieces featuring Grand Feu enamel dials.
