Microbrand
Farer
farer.comFarer is what happens when British art direction meets Swiss manufacturing: dials in colors no one else will attempt — teal with salmon, lavender with gilt — executed with applied indices, layered textures and custom-colored lume. Named after the word 'wayfarer,' the brand leans into Britain's exploration heritage with watches named for ships and adventurers. Underneath the color theory are top-grade Sellita and La Joux-Perret movements and prices that undercut comparable Swiss boutique brands by half.
Nobody does joyful, literate design at this level for the money.
Worth knowing
The bold palettes are polarizing by design; cases are sourced (not in-house); UK-based service means transatlantic shipping for US owners.
