About echo/neutra
Founded in 2018 by Italian designer Nicola Callegaro and aerospace engineer Cristiano Quaglia in the Brembana Valley near the Dolomites, echo/neutra makes Swiss-made mechanical watches rooted in the spirit of 1950s Italian alpinism and motor racing. The flagship Cortina 1956 chronograph references the year Cortina d'Ampezzo hosted the Winter Olympics, featuring Sellita movements, vintage-sports styling, and strong coverage from Fratello, Worn & Wound, and Teddy Baldassarre. Each model is produced in small numbered series from Averara, a village of fewer than 400 people in the Italian Alps.
