Italian dive watch with the unusual cushion case and crown-at-4 layout originally developed for Italian Navy frogmen — 200m WR, Sellita SW200, a quiet design statement that's distinctly not another round diver.

About Anonimo

Italy · est. 1997

Anonimo was founded in Florence in 1997 by Federico Massacesi, built around the watchmaking talent that stayed behind when Panerai was acquired by Richemont and moved to Switzerland. The name (Italian for "anonymous") reflected the founding idea that the product should matter more than the label. It debuted with the Millemetri (120 ATM) diver and built a reputation in serious dive watchmaking — screw-locked crowns and waterproof pushbuttons rated beyond 1,000 metres — with early signatures like the Militare (2001), Match Racing chronograph (2002) and Professionale (2003).

Anonimo today is an Italian-rooted, Swiss-operated brand, now running as Anonimo Watches SA with design/finishing tied to Florence and movement-fitting in Switzerland. Watches use Swiss ETA or Sellita automatics, with the cushion-cased Militare and Nautilo dive lines as mainstays, historically priced from roughly $2,500 to over $10,000.
